|(Taken at the Ex last summer – where I indulged in a deep-fried mars bar, knowing that future naturopathic tendencies may preclude me from doing so in upcoming years)|
Every summer I find myself searching for fun things to do (read: keep me sane) until school starts the following September. It’s been a long ride, but my academic career is almost over (3 more years!), meaning that my summers – full of frolicking around without a care in the world, are coming to an end.
This summer in particular – is my last summer where I’m not preparing for something big. Last year I spent my entire summer in class 2 nights a week, next summer I’ll find myself studying for NPLEX I, and the summer after I’ll be working at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic.
Needless to say, my goal is to take advantage of this time and make the most out of it. What do I plan to do?
– Revisit my childhood and read: Little Women and
The Secret Garden (Classics that I missed out on)
Visit Evergreen Brickworks (July)
Complete the trilogy: The Dark Knight Rises (July 21) – Party at the ROM one Friday (June 22)
Jay’s Game (April 29)
Walk along the Boardwalk (May 20)
Enjoy a delicious dinner… or maybe 2 at Summerlicious (July)
Cirque du Soleil (May 8)
– Finish the Dragon Tattoo Trilogy
Go on a winery tour (June 23)
Host a garden party (June 2)
Visit Centre Island (July 19, it was with a camp, but it still counts… I think)
…knowing me, I’ll probably have 15 more ideas by the end of the week.
What’s on your list this summer?
